The electric starting system works thanks to a NimH battery mounted on the engine. It enables you to start the lawnmower with the key rather than by pulling the starter cord. For many users, this is a real "plus".

The only disadvantage with this system is that after a few years the battery (as on a car) can wear out and have to be replaced.
