FAQ Lawnmowers

  1. How can I find out the retail price of your products ?

    We suggest that you go to a store to see the retail price of our products. Our approved Outils WOLF dealers are competent professionals able to advise you and may also propose offer special offers at certain times.

  2. Is it possible to buy a lawnmower direct from the factory?

    No. In order to ensure you benefit from a quality service near to your home, Outils WOLF has chosen to distribute its products through a network of approved dealers.
    We suggest that you contact the Outils WOLF Approved Specialist or Official Advisor closest to your home. They will be able to advise you on your purchase, give instructions on the correct use of the machine and information on the After Sales service.

  3. Where are your lawnmowers made?

    All our petrol models are made in France in our factory in Wissembourg (Bas-Rhin). Electric lawnmowers with small cutting widths are made in Germany by the WOLF Garten GmbH company.

  4. I have just bought a display model and the shop no longer has the instruction booklet. Where can I get one?

    It is essential that you read the instruction booklet before using a lawnmower or an appliance with an engine.
    You can find our instruction booklets online in the section Catalogues & Instructions

  5. Can I repair my lawnmower myself?

    You can only carry out routine maintenance on your lawnmower yourself (cf. instructions for use).
    If it breaks down, we strongly advise against attempting to repair your lawnmower yourself. For your own safety, take it to a an approved Outils WOLF repairer (list in the Dealers section).

  6. Why are there no battery lawnmowers in your range?

    The drawbacks of the battery are limited autonomy and power. As long as these disadvantages have not found a solution, Outils WOLF will not develop any new battery lawnmowers.

  7. What are the advantages of a push lawnmower compared to an electric lawnmower?

    The push lawnmower is obviously quieter and more environmentally friendly. It is ideal for very small gardens or as a complement to a powered lawnmower for the less accessible spots.

  8. Are there mulching kits that can be adapted onto your lawnmowers?

    Only our 46 cm cutting width walk-behind and 80 cm cutting width ride-on mowers can be fitted with a mulching kit.

    This kit consists of a plug that fits onto the ejection channel and a special blade. The results obtained are of course not as perfect as those of lawnmowers equipped with a special bell-shaped mulching deck (e.g.: M53I, RM53B, RM53H, RT53K), which offer higher quality mulching.

  9. What are the differences between your 46 and 48 cm cutting width lawnmowers?

    The 46 cm cutting width lawnmowers are models that belong to Outils WOLF's "classic" range. There are highly successful lawnmowers which have proven their worth on the market for many years, thanks to their robustness and mowing quality, with features such as:
    - A reinforced Xenoy progressive volute cutting deck offering excellent mowing performances.
    - Central single-arm handlebar giving easy access to the grassbox, for right-handed and left-handed users.
    - Folding, height-adjustable handlebar.
    - Cables protected in a central sheath.
    The 48cm cutting width lawnmowers belong to the latest generation of Outils WOLF lawnmowers with extra "comfort" features according to the range such as:
    - Latest generation Xenoy volute cutting deck for optimum suction and ejection of the grass.
    - Centralised cutting height adjustment.
    - Large-capacity grassbox (72 litres) with contrasted fill indicator.
    - An easier system for cleaning the cutting deck with water: a nozzle on the deck to connect up a garden hose.
    - Folding handlebar.
    - Handlebar that can be lifted to access the grassbox without bending over (on the "Privilege" range).
    - Possibility of placing the lawnmower in a "maintenance" position, handlebar raised (on the "Privilege" range).
    - Soft coating on the handlebar grip, pleasant to the touch (on the "Privilege" range).

  10. Must I insure my ride-on mower?

    Under the terms of Articles L.211-1 et seq, R.211-1 et seq and A.211-1 et seq of the French Insurance Code, the insurance of all land motor vehicles is obligatory.
