The research centre

The aim of the research centre is to provide users with innovations in terms of comfort, performance and safety. Outils WOLF strives to anticipate changes in technology and standards. Particular attention is paid to the technical improvement of the existing machines.

The design office devotes itself in particular to research on reducing noise and vibration levels, on user safety and the user environment, and increased comfort. The development of a lawnmower involves a great deal of practical testing.

The importance of testing and trials

A whole battery of tests is carried out: endurance of the machines and the engines, destructive testing, service life of assemblies, noise measurements, integrity of the cutting deck structures and protective components…

All these tests are carried out in-house and serve to ensure the company meets all relevant standards. The products are then validated by approved bodies.

On average a machine undergoes five hundred hours of practical testing. A special test track for ride-on mowers was inaugurated in February 2005. The machine guided by a rail undertakes a veritable assault course over different types of terrain.

This simulation enables us to check all the components and guarantee the technical superiority of Outils WOLF products.
