Maintenance of hand grass shears
Cleaning :
Cleaning is indispensable after each use to keep the shears at their most effective and to make your work easier.
Simply wipe the blades with a cloth impregnated with a little oil to remove sap and debris.
Occasionally add a little oil between the blades, towards the central button, so that opening and closing the shears is always as easy.

Sharpening :
After use, sharpen your shears using a medium grain sharpening stone to keep them in excellent condition.
Humidify the stone with a little oil or paraffin oil. Turn the stone towards the outer angle of the blade and sharpen with long, light strokes, parallel to the cutting edge (without pressing). Every 5 or 6 strokes, give a stroke on the flat side to remove the burrs.
To finish, use a fine grain sharpening stone.
